Palo Santo Sticks
Palo Santo or "Holy Wood" is a sacred tree that grows on the coast of South America. This earthy scented wood is used by shamans, healers and elders in ritual prayer, purification ceremonies and for healing purposes. Shamans believe the tree has both magical and healing properties that are only cultivated if the tree is allowed to live a full life and given a respectful death. They only use wood from naturally fallen palo trees that have been lying peacefully for an extended period after which they were then dried, aged and eventually burned during rituals. The resulting sacred smoke bath is believed to have metaphysical properties that are grounding and purify negative energies and attracted positive ones.

Burn Time: A single Palo Santo stick typically burns in short intervals and lasts for 5–15 minutes per use, depending on how often it’s relit. A whole stick can last for several days to months, depending on frequency of use.

How to Use Palo Santo Sticks
- Hold the stick at a 45-degree angle and light one end with a match or candle.
- Allow it to burn for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, then gently blow out the flame.
- Let the fragrant smoke waft around your space, body, or objects for cleansing and positive energy.
- To extinguish, rest the smoldering stick in a heatproof dish or sand. It can be relit multiple times.
